Explorer+ Fire Pit (5mm Steel)
The Explorer Fire Pit is designed for those who demand the most from their gear. Based on the popular Adventurer model, the Explorer has been given additional ground clearance to help prevent damage to the grass below the fire pit.
Manufactured from BlueScope's REDCOR® steel, these fire pits are designed to develop a natural patina over time. This patina helps to protect the steel from corrosion, ensuring you can enjoy years of hassle free camp fires. The laser-cut ventilation has been purposefully designed to maximise airflow and minimise the loss of coals.
Campfire cooking is supported using TRC Concepts’ optional camp oven support bars, hot plates and rotisserie. Explorer fire pits are available in a standard width (Explorer) as well as a wider (Explorer+) model. They are also available in a longer (750mm) model upon request.

Bluescope REDCOR® steel is a high-performance weathering steel specifically engineered to withstand harsh outdoor environments. It contains alloying elements such as copper, chromium, and nickel, which help form a stable, protective oxide layer on the surface when exposed to the atmosphere. This rust-like patina not only gives REDCOR® steel its distinctive, earthy appearance but also acts as a barrier that significantly slows further corrosion. Unlike regular carbon steel, which can deteriorate rapidly when exposed to moisture, REDCOR® steel self-seals and becomes more durable over time, making it a low-maintenance and long-lasting material.
