TRC Concepts is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. Our products come with guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement, refund, or repair for major faults. We also offer a 12 month warranty against defects under normal use. For claims, contact us with proof of purchase.

Will fire pits rust?

TRC Concepts Nomad, Adventurer and Explorer Fire pits are manufactured from BlueScope's REDCOR® steel. REDCOR® steel is a high-performance weathering steel specifically engineered to withstand harsh outdoor environments. It contains alloying elements such as copper, chromium, and nickel, which help form a stable, protective oxide layer on the surface when exposed to the atmosphere. This rust-like patina not only gives REDCOR® steel its distinctive, earthy appearance but also acts as a barrier that significantly slows further corrosion. Unlike regular carbon steel, which can deteriorate rapidly when exposed to moisture, REDCOR® steel self-seals and becomes more durable over time, making it a low-maintenance and long-lasting material.

If preferred, fire pits may be painted. TRC Concepts recommends heat resistant paints such as Pot Belly Black from White Knight. To maintain appearance, repaint fire pit every 6 to 12 months.
